In June 2022, Guangdong Ada Intelligent Equipment Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Ada Intelligent") completed its Series B financing with investment amount of hundreds of millions of RMB. This round of financing was led by CDH Baifu, other investors including Guangdong Province Semiconductor and Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund and Xinchao Group. Existing shareholders of Ada Intelligent CDF Capital and CSTC also participated in the transaction. The investment proceeds will be mainly used for the expansion of wire bonding machine capacity and other kinds of high-end equipment research and development.
Since its establishment in 2017, Ada Intelligent has focused on the development of wire bonding machines, the most critical equipment for chip packaging. The company's business saw explosive growth in 2021, with bulk shipments of its core product, IC wire bonding machine, breaking the monopoly of overseas companies for many years. Currently, Ada Intelligent has become a leading supplier of wire bonding machines in China from the perspective of high-end equipment shipments, product performance and customer feedback.
