In a recent development, the Guangdong Administration for Market Regulation has given the green light to the acquisition of a stake in Yonghui Superstores Co., Ltd. by a subsidiary of MINISO Group Holding Limited, marking a significant milestone towards the transaction's closing.

The deal involves two publicly traded companies with a presence in both domestic and international chain operations. MINISO is recognised as a global retailer offering trendy home and living products, while Yonghui Superstores stands as a leading supermarket chain across the nation. Despite the inherent complexities in filing for operator concentration in the chain operation sector, Llinks team collaborated closely with both parties and maintained seamless communication with regulators, ensuring a swift and efficient approval process that met the planned schedule ahead of time.

The intricacies of operator concentration cases for chain operation businesses often stem from the unique challenges in defining the relevant product and geographic markets, which are distinct from other industries. Llinks has a track record of assisting various chain operation enterprises in navigating the operator concentration review process. We are eager to continue partnering with businesses to tackle the complexities of anti-monopoly reviews.

The Llinks core team was led by Llinks partner Mr. James Weng and Llinks senior associate Ms. Jingyun Zhao.
