Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation (Group) signed a binding MOU with Chohung Bank on its acquisition of 48.9% of total issued shares of Ssangyong Motor Company (the fourth largest motor manufacturer in Korea, which is listed on Korea Stock Exchange) on July 27, 2004.
