On December 9, 2015, Shanghai Silicon Industry Investment Limited Company ("SIIC"), the first company in China focusing on silicon material industry and its eco-system development, was officially set up. The registered capital of SIIC is RMB2 billion, and the investors include National Integrated Circuit Industry Investment Fund Inc., Shanghai Guo Sheng (Group) Ltd., Shanghai SummitView Integrated Circuit Venture Capital Limited Partnership, Shanghai Xin Wei Electronic Limited Company and Shanghai Jiading Industrial District Development (Group) Limited Company. Focusing on the relevant industrials sector, SIIC will leverage upon the platform provided by National Integrated Circuit Fund, and make full use of the industrial capital of Shanghai and its attractiveness as the center of scientific innovation, and, through investment, consolidation, innovative development and international cooperation, ultimately contribute on the improvement of the competitiveness of the Chinese silicon material industry.
