A signing ceremony of joint venture project of Yangshan Deepwater Seaport (Phase II) was held on January 19, 2006. Yangshan Deepwater Seaport (Phase II) is another key project approved by the State Development and Reform Commission after Yangshan Deepwater Seaport (Phase 1). After the completion of construction, Yangshan Deepwater Seaport (Phase II) will be operated by the joint venture established by Shanghai International Port (Group) Company Limited, Hutchison Whampoa Property, A. P. Molle-Maersk, COSCO Group and China Shipping Group. Its registered capital is RMB 4 billion.
