On May 26, 2005, MSN, one of the three major Internet portals in the US, officially launched its Chinese portal through Shanghai MSN Network Communications Technology Co., Ltd. ("MSN China"), a Sino-foreign joint venture established by MSN in China, by teaming up with nine local partners. This represents MSN's historical entry into China's Internet industry.
