On August 30, 2024, Shanghai Allist Pharmaceutical Technology Co., Ltd. (688578.SH) entered into a strategic collaboration agreement with Jacobio Pharmaceuticals Group Co., Ltd. (1167.HK). Allist has obtained exclusive rights to research, develop, manufacture, register, and commercialise the KRAS G12C inhibitor Glecirasib and the SHP2 inhibitor JAB-3312 in Greater China. According to the terms of the agreement, Allist will pay Jacobio a one-time payment of 150 million yuan, up to 700 million yuan in development and sales milestone payments, and double-digit percentage royalties on sales, with all amounts being inclusive of value-added tax. This collaboration further expands Allist's R&D pipeline in the oncology field, including lung cancer, pancreatic cancer, and colorectal cancer, aiding Allist in building a product matrix for cancer treatment.
Significantly, Glecirasib, which targets KRAS G12C-mutated non-small cell lung cancer in the second-line setting, received priority review status for its new drug application on May 21, 2024. JAB-3312, being the first SHP2 inhibitor globally to advance into a pivotal clinical trial, stands as the sole 'dual oral therapy' candidate currently in Phase III clinical trials, holding the promise of bringing novel therapeutic choices to patients.
