On August 11, 2006, a US$ 750 million loan was signed by 20 domestic and international banks to finance the largest semiconductor manufacture project in China sponsored jointly by Hynix and STMicroelectronics. The Hynix-ST VLSIC 12-inch and 8-inch plant is a project with the largest investment and the most updated technology of its kind in China. The syndicated loan was arranged by ICBC and participated by 20 domestic and international banks including ICBC, CDB, ABC, Citibank and Credit Suisse. As counsel to the syndicate, Llinks advised on deal structure, attended negotiations, and prepared finance documents.
