On April 26, 2007, China Molybdenum Co., Ltd. (CMOC [03993]) became the world's largest publicly-held molybdenum producer when it listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange with an initial offering of 1,083,600,000 shares. China Molybdenum will raise approximately HK$ 7.1 billion from this offering, prior to any exercise of its over-allotment option. The retail portion of the offering was over-subscribed nearly 400 times.
