Recently, Shenzhen Chipscreen Biosciences Co., Ltd. ("Chipscreen Biosciences") and Nizhny Novgorod Chemical Pharmaceutical Plant ("Nizhpharm") entered into a licensing and distribution agreement for Chidamide. Pursuant to the agreement, Chipscreen Biosciences has granted Nizhpharm exclusive rights for the research and development, registration, and commercialization of Chidamide in twelve countries and regions across Central Asia and Eastern Europe, including Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Belarus. Nizhpharm will be responsible for the R&D, marketing authorization, secondary packaging, logistics, and commercial sales of the product within the licensed territory.
Under the terms of the agreement, Chipscreen Biosciences will receive an upfront payment of RMB 10 million and a milestone payment of RMB 10 million upon local marketing authorization. Furthermore, Nizhpharm will procure the drug from Chipscreen Biosciences at an agreed price for sales within the licensed territory and pay the company a high double-digit percentage royalty based on the net sales of the drug in the region.
