Kenneth Kong

Mr. Kong graduated from Dalian Maritime University, majoring in International Economic Law, and received his Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree. He later obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from Boston University in the United States. Mr. Kong is admitted to practice law in both the People's Republic of China and the State of New York, USA. He currently serves as a member of the International Investment and Belt and Road Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association.

Prior to joining Llinks, Mr. Kong practiced for over a decade at a leading large-scale Chinese law firm and a Chinese law firm specializing in foreign-related legal services, respectively. During this period, he consistently focused on providing corporate and transactional legal services to both domestic and international enterprise clients, and particularly accumulated extensive experience in serving multinational corporations. He has provided professional legal services to over 50 renowned multinational corporations worldwide (including nearly 30 Fortune Global 500 companies) in connection with their investment, joint venture and cooperative projects, mergers and acquisitions, day-to-day corporate and commercial legal matters, as well as corporate compliance matters (such as anti-commercial bribery and governmental compliance investigations) in China.

In addition to day-to-day corporate and commercial legal services, Mr. Kong also excels in handling various complex transactions and projects. As the lead attorney, he has taken charge of over 30 investment and M&A projects across different industries, including large-scale acquisitions in China by numerous Fortune Global 500 companies (such as Henkel, 3M, Procter & Gamble, Philips, Danone, Coca-Cola, and Heineken), as well as successful "going global" acquisitions by prominent Chinese enterprises in the industrial manufacturing, infrastructure, and clean energy sectors in the United States, Canada, Europe, Africa, and other regions. Furthermore, Mr. Kong has advised multiple domestic listed companies on major asset restructuring projects in the healthcare, online gaming, and food industries, as well as leading venture capital and private equity funds on their investment projects in the internet, education, and healthcare sectors.

In addition to his private practice experience, Mr. Kong served as the General Legal Counsel of a large multinational enterprise ranked among China's Top 500 Private Enterprises, where he was responsible for the legal and compliance management of the group's three production bases in Zhejiang, Xinjiang, and Canada, as well as its nearly 15 subsidiaries. During the group's business transformation, he also oversaw legal matters relating to overseas investment and M&A, as well as the expansion into new business sectors such as energy and agriculture.
