On June 28, July 14 and July 28, 2021, Llinks successfully held seminars on 'Hot Legal Issues in Public Offering of Fund Industry in 2021' in Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen. Since the first seminar was held in 2009, this is the eleventh year that Llinks has held legal seminars for the public offering of fund industry.
More than 100 public fund managers and other asset management institutions were invited to the seminars. A total of nearly 400 public fund managers and professionals from the fields of industry supervision, auditing and legal compliance participated in the seminars.
This seminar followed new topics and hot issues closely related to the fund industry. Partners and experts from the Funds and Compliance team made excellent thematic speeches and conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions with participants.
Based on the theme of 'Cross-boundary Wealth Management Connect Pilot Scheme and MRF funds in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area', Ms. Sandra Lu, a partner in Funds team, gave a comprehensive introduction to the main points of the system, legislative prospects and challenges to the compliance of asset management business in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
Xun Yang Esq., a senior counsel in Technology Law and Intellectual Property Law of the Compliance team, commented on the new situation under legal supervision of 'Law of the People's Republic of China on Personal Information Protection' and 'Data Security Law' with the title of 'Data, data, data, the new power in funds'. He also gave an in-depth introduction to the practical issues of personal information protection and data security in the asset management business.
Ms. Lily Luo, a partner in Funds team, introduced the main provisions of the newly announced law against foreign sanctions to the guests on the topic of 'Thoughts: Asset Management Institutions and the Law against Foreign Sanctions'. She also shared insights on the potential impact of the law on the fundraising and investment of asset management.
Based on the theme of 'The Path Selection and Plan Design of Fund Company's Employee Stock Ownership' and combined with rich practice experience, Mr. Raymond Li, a partner in Funds team, comprehensively discussed core issues in the implementation of corporates' employee stock ownership plans such as platform selection, structural design, state-owned asset supervision, shareholder qualifications and exit arrangements for fund management.
