Yi Wang

Mr. Wang began his legal career with a well-known insurance company in 2006. In March 2017, Mr. Wang joined Llinks as a partner.

Mr. Wang supports a broad range of clients throughout well-known domestic insurance institutions, asset management institutions, private equity funds, trust companies, and so on. He specializes in the areas of asset management and private equity investment, especially insurance asset management. Not only does Mr. Wang have rich practice experience in the insurance funds direct investment, private equity investment by insurance funds, real estate investment, overseas investment, and insurance asset management companies, but also he is proficient in the establishment and investment of private equity funds, trust plan investment, M&A, construction and real estate investment and financing. Mr. Wang is a member of the First, Second and Third Session of the Legal and Compliance Professional Committees of the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC). He participated in the co-authoring of IAMAC’s ‘Comprehensive Practice of Risk Management for the Use of Insurance Funds’ (2019), ‘Investment Guide for Foreign Institutions in China's Banking and Insurance Industry’ (2019), ‘Legal Risks and Dispute Resolution Counter-measures for Large Asset Management’ (2021) and ‘Compilation of Laws, Regulations and Regulatory Documents Related to the Use of Insurance Funds’ (2018, 2019). Mr. Wang has been recognized as a Leading Lawyer in Insurance by the Chambers Greater China Region Guide (2022–2026) and the Chambers Asia-Pacific Guide (2021). Furthermore, he has been consistently ranked as a Tier 1 Leading Lawyer in Banking & Finance and Insurance by LEGALBAND from 2020 to 2026, and was named among China Business Law Journal's "The A-List: China's Elite Lawyers" from 2022 to 2025. In addition to being recognized as a Recommended Lawyer by IFLR1000 in 2025 and named in the LEGALBAND Top 15 Insurance Versatile Practitioners in 2022, Mr. Wang has also received multiple honors from the Insurance Asset Management Association of China (IAMAC). These include being selected as an Excellent External Review Expert for Debt Investment Plans (2018 and 2019) and the Most Popular Training Expert Lecturer (2019, 2020, and 2022).
