"Llinks Lecture" is an important part of information sharing and internal training system of Llinks Law Offices, where external experts and senior lawyers of Llinks are invited to share ideas in response to hot issues in the markets as well as important and difficult legal issues. Llinks has already held 58 lectures so far. In response to the recently released Minutes of the Ninth National Working Conference of Trials on The Civil and Commercial Matters issued by the Supreme People's Court (the "Minutes"), Llinks starts to hold lectures on interpretation and application of the Minutes from 6 December 2019. The Minutes include 130 articles, which cover a wide range of areas. It is not only a summary of recent civil and commercial judicial practice and clarification of judgments, but also an important reference for future judgments of civil and commercial cases. These series of Llinks Lectures will invite senior lawyers and partners of Llinks to interpret the provisions relating to corporate, contract, security and financial consumer protection in the Minutes.
In the afternoon of December 6, 2019, Llinks held the first lecture of the Minutes, "Protection of Financial Consumers' Rights and Interests". Llinks Partner, Mr. Peiming Yang, shared his understanding of the relevant provisions on the protection of financial consumer rights in the Minutes according to his practical experience. During the lecture, Mr. Yang discussed the following hot issues: the obligation of selling suitable financial products, the liability of damages for failing to perform such obligations, the subjects of liability and the relevant burden of proof. It was an inspiring and interactive lecture that was enjoyed by all colleagues of Llinks.
The Llinks Law Offices will continue to hold lecture series on legal issues clarified by the Minutes.
