On the occasion of the 26th World Intellectual Property Day, the Shenzhen Bar Association officially announced the results of the 2025 Shenzhen Lawyers Business Reference Cases (Intellectual Property). Two cases handled by the team led by Llinks partner Ms. Cherri Che stood out from numerous submissions and were both selected—one as a Patent Reference Case and the other as a Trade Secret Reference Case, with the latter notably ranking first in its category.

Patent Reference Case: Defense in Cross-border Section 337 Investigation and Special Legal Services for Patent Licensing Settlement

In this case, US-based IngenioSpec filed a Section 337 investigation with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC), alleging patent infringement by several enterprises. The client faced a significant risk of its products being excluded from the U.S. market. The team, including Ms. Cherri Che, Mr. Alex Huang and Ms. Candice Du, responded swiftly. They conducted a deep analysis of the patent claims, precisely compared the product's technical solutions, issued "Non-infringement Analysis Reports" in both Chinese and English, and coordinated with U.S. and Chinese legal teams to advance negotiations. Ultimately, the client reached a settlement with a reasonable licensing fee, the ITC officially terminated the investigation, and the client successfully secured its access to the U.S. market. This case provides a replicable "defense-negotiation-settlement" path for smart hardware enterprises facing cross-border Section 337 investigations.

Trade Secret Reference Case (Ranked First)

This case involved an unfair competition dispute concerning the protection of the overall image of clothing styles. With solid legal analysis and precise litigation strategies, the team led by Ms. Cherri Che successfully protected the client's legitimate rights and interests, achieving excellent results and ultimately ranking first among the Trade Secret Reference Cases.
