From 18 October to 20 October 2024, a four-day philanthropic program titled 'Digital Economy Enterprises Going Public and Global Expansion Workshop' was successfully conducted in Shanghai. This event was under the guidance of the United Front Work Department of the Shanghai Municipal Committee, organised by the United Front Work Department of the Yangpu District Committee and the Yangpu District Youth League Committee, and co-hosted by the Shanghai Wujiaochang Innovation and Entrepreneurship Institute and the Shanghai Centre of The Chinese University of Hong Kong.
The workshop targeted 50 top entrepreneurs in the digital economy sector across the city, offering training on capital market development and global expansion strategies for tech businesses. It covered key areas such as trends in the digital economy, capital strategy, data compliance, and internal controls, with a focus on practical application to help companies overcome challenges and successfully penetrate international markets.
Llinks partner Ms. Cherri Che was invited to be a mentor for this workshop. Under the topic 'Navigating the Path to IPO for Tech Innovators: Intellectual Property Insights', she provided an in-depth analysis and discussion on four main themes: 'Intellectual property requirements for listing on the SSE STAR', 'Key intellectual property issues in the STAR's inquiry letters', 'Intellectual property advice before listing on the SSE STAR', and 'Case studies of litigation during the listing process'. Her insights aimed to bolster entrepreneurs' awareness and capabilities in intellectual property protection, thereby supporting the innovative growth of their businesses.
With a background in science and engineering and over a decade of experience in R&D, Ms. Che has been practicing law since 2010, specialising in intellectual property. She has served as a legal consultant for numerous tech start-ups and is skilled at offering strategic advice on intellectual property protection, including dispute resolution, portfolio management, and operational strategies. To date, Llinks IP team has had the honour of providing intellectual property training sessions for a diverse range of audiences, including publicly traded companies, industry associations, universities, and research institutions.
