On 1 April 2023, Llinks joined hands with 'Unusual Lawyer' podcast to co-hold the inaugural Shanghai Young Lawyers Roundtable at Llinks' Shanghai office.
Llinks enjoys wide acknowledgement across the industry for its cultivation of young lawyers, for Llinks believes that talent is the driving force behind the sustainable development and one of the most valuable assets of Llinks. In collaboration with 'Unusual Lawyer', Llinks aims to create opportunities for young talents who are interested in practicing in the legal services market to get a better understanding of the industry and connect with their peers and fellows.
The Roundtable invited three Llinks partners to cover topics including the opportunities facing the Chinese legal services market, the market dynamics and trends of private equity investment, as well as the sharing of experience.
Llinks partner Mr. James Weng analysed the opportunities faced by China's legal service market and Llinks' response and choices in light of the current trends, and sorted out the fruitful outcomes of Llinks' development core in the areas of investment and financing in recent years.
In the themed keynote session, Llinks partner Mr. Colin Shi introduced the main legal issues that may be involved in the aspects of private equity investment, and discussed the positioning and functions of lawyers in private equity investment practice.
Llinks partner Mr. Kyle Zhao shared his experience and journey on how to identify his dream and strengths as well as how he planned his career path and what he obtained from his career.
At the end of the session, Llinks HR director Ms. Sandy Gao shared some information of Llinks Campus Recruitment 2023, the intern recruitment process, the ranking system and the promotion mechanism of the firm.
In the later Q&A session, the three partners had a lively discussion and interaction with the attendants. The session covered issues such as how to prepare a competitive CV, how junior lawyers should adapt to the workplace, how to build a professional image, and the pros and cons of studying overseas for an LLM degree.
It is no doubt that how to start a career is almost the most vital choice to make in one's life. Llinks always put the career development and growth of young lawyers at its priority, and encourage young talents who wish to pursue their career in the legal industry to be ambitious, diligent and enterprising.
