Mr. Peiming Yang
Mr. Yang graduated from the Fudan University School of Law with a Bachelor of Laws degree in International Economic Law. He has been practicing since 1997 and previously served as a partner at a renowned law firm for many years. In 2000, he was selected by the Ministry of Justice of the PRC to undergo training and work at the Hong Kong office of Clifford Chance.
Mr. Peiming Yang is a senior trial lawyer and arbitration advocate. He also serves as an arbitrator for various institutions, including the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC), the Shanghai International Arbitration Center (SHIAC), the Shanghai Arbitration Commission (SAC), the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), the Nanjing Arbitration Commission (NAC) and Urumqi Arbitration Commission (UAC). Mr. Yang currently serves as the Secretary-General of the Arbitration and Lawyer Mediation Professional Committee of the All-China Lawyers Association. While highly proficient in traditional civil and commercial litigation, Mr. Yang has focused extensively on financial dispute resolution in recent years. He specializes in emerging financial disputes such as bond defaults, securities misrepresentation, asset management contracts, and securities firm financing business disputes. He has represented large financial institutions and multinational corporations in hundreds of litigation and arbitration cases, with the total subject matter exceeding tens of billions of RMB. His expertise in financial dispute resolution is widely recognized by regulatory authorities and clients alike, and he holds significant influence in Chinese Mainland.
Mr. Yang has been named a "Litigation Star" by Benchmark Litigation Asia-Pacific for eight consecutive years (2018–2026). He has been ranked as a recommended lawyer in dispute resolution by Chambers Asia-Pacific/Greater China Region Guide eleven times (2015–2026) and was named one of the "China Top 15 Litigators" by Asian Legal Business (ALB) five times.
