Mr. Neil Zhao obtained his Bachelor of Laws from Tianjin University, Bachelor of Economics (dual degree) from Nankai University, and Master of Laws from Xiamen University. He joined Llinks in July 2019.

Mr. Zhao has extensive experience in the field of cross-border asset management and has served as long-term legal counsel to a wide variety of leading international financial institutions. His expertise covers the establishment and M&A of WFOE FMCs, registration of WFOE PFMs, as well as fundraising and operation of private fund products. He also advises on the application for QDLP qualifications and quotas, Mutual Recognition of Funds (MRF), Stock Connect, etc.

Mr. Zhao provides ongoing legal services to various world-renowned asset managers, quantitative hedge funds, and proprietary trading firms.

Mr. Zhao advises leading international financial institutions on data compliance matters in the fields of data security and personal information protection, with a particular focus on cross-border data transfer. Mr. Zhao was named to the “LEGALBAND 2025 China 30 Under 30” list.
