Alex Zhang

Mr. Alex Zhang graduated from Fudan University and Peking University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in History and a Master of Laws specializing in Corporate Law and Securities Law, respectively. Mr. Zhang joined Llinks Law Offices in July 2020.

Mr. Zhang has accumulated extensive experience in financial disputes relating to asset management, recovery of financial claims, securities misrepresentation, corporate investment and capital disputes, corporate control contests, real estate disputes, employment and labor disputes, and insolvency-related proceedings, with a strong track record of successful outcomes. A number of the novel financial disputes he has handled have been cited as landmark cases by the courts. In addition to his expertise in civil and commercial dispute resolution, Mr. Zhang has handled a substantial volume of cases involving the intersection of civil and criminal proceedings, achieving effective coordination between civil claims and criminal accountability. He has also assisted clients in filing criminal complaints and responding to criminal investigations in complex disputes. To date, the aggregate amount in controversy of the litigation and arbitration matters handled by Mr. Zhang has exceeded RMB 10 billion.

Mr. Zhang possesses outstanding courtroom advocacy skills and adaptability. In numerous complex and high-stakes litigation and arbitration proceedings, he has successfully reversed unfavorable positions through his courtroom performance, earning commendation from senior judges and arbitrators. Mr. Zhang is also highly adept at integrating litigation strategies with commercial negotiations. Drawing on his keen commercial acumen, he devises creative settlement structures that maximize his clients' interests.

Mr. Zhang currently serves as standing legal counsel to a number of prominent domestic and international financial institutions, major listed companies, and several well-known internet personalities and their affiliated entities. Mr. Zhang participated in the legislative deliberation of several laws, including the Securities Law of the PRC, and published two papers in CSSCI-indexed journals.
