On 12 December 2020, Llinks partner David Wu, as the vice chairman of the China Association for Sports Law("CASL"), was invited to Soochow University to participate in "Legal Research on Major Issues of China's Sports Reform" seminar, held by the China Association for Sports Law, Soochow University, Jiangsu Sports Science Society Sports Law Professional Committee, Soochow University Soochow Think Tank, Soochow University Jiangsu Sports and Health Research Institute.
Han Xiangfei, Director of the Policy and Regulations Division of the General Administration of Sport; Long Shengjun, Director of the Education and Anti-Doping Coordination Division of the General Administration of Sport;Tian Siyuan, executive vice chairman of CASL; Ma Hongjun, Wang Jiahong, Guan Baoying, vice chairman of the CASL, together with top pioneers in the research and practice of sports law, participated in the seminar.
At the seminar, Attorney Wu served as the host of the third theme forum of the seminar, and cooperated with Professor Ma Hongjun to discuss and comment on the "Legal Research Findings on the Reform of Sports Industry" presented by Professor Jiang Xi from Shanghai University of Political Science and Law. The forum combined multiple perspectives including sports, law, economics, and aroused heated discussions among all participants. Experts attending the meeting unanimously agreed, that the coordination and in-depth exploration of practitioners in Chinese sports law will help solve the current challenges, and further contribute to the gradual development of the industry.
