On 28 November 2019, Llinks partner Mr. David WU was invited to Pinghu, Zhejiang Province for the annual council meeting of the Chinese Baseball Association. 2019 is the 8th year since the Chinese Baseball Association comprehensively initiated the promotion of Chinese baseball. The meeting aims to summarize the work of the year, draw up the plan for 2020, and further complete the adjustments on the association's structure, rules and personnel.
The meeting began with the speech of Ms. CHEN Yan, Secretary of the Party Committee of the Handball and Baseball Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China. Ms. CHEN expressed her appreciation on the association's achievements in the popularization of baseball and high-level performance in events such as the 29th Asian Baseball Championship. Mr. CHEN Xu, Chairman of the China Baseball Association, reported on the work of the association for the year, reviewed the work of the council, analyzed the overall situation of domestic baseball projects, and pointed out the remaining practical challenges. The meeting then announced the personnel adjustments regarding the council's members and consultants, as well as a series of structural adjustments to the association's branch committees. Attorney WU, as one of the new council members of the China Baseball Association, was therefore appointed director of the association's lately-established legal arbitration committee. From now on, Attorney WU will coordinate with another committee member, Llinks partner Attorney YANG Yuhua, to promote the development of the association.
At the end of the meeting, the association announced the awards for individuals and groups that have made outstanding contributions during the year. Llinks Law Offices will continue its support for the China Baseball Association, and jointly make efforts to explore the future of Chinese baseball.
