In September 2018, Llinks Law Offices and Wolters Kluwer jointly published "30 Questions about the CSL" (hereinafter referred to as "30 Questions"), which contains in-depth analysis of companies' obligations and liability under the PRC Cybersecurity Law. "30 Questions" receives wide attention and high praise from clients and professionals in field of cybersecurity and data privacy.
Since the publication of "30 Questions", in response to the continuous significant development in the cybersecurity and data protection area, China has promulgated various laws, regulations and normative documents (including drafts). In the past year, Llinks Compliance Service Team has represented clients in almost all aspects of cybersecurity and data protection issues: in personal information compliance area, we advised on issues such as APP personal information collection, WiFi probes, web crawlers, video capturing and AI face swap; in data cooperation projects, we advised clients including those leading fintech companies on feasibility and compliance schemes; in MLPS and data cross-border transfer security assessment, we worked together with technical service providers to offer one-stop solution. Through handling these real cases, Llinks Compliance Service Team has further gained solid experience and in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity and data compliance.
Based on rich practical experience and deep understanding of legislation and law enforcement trends, in November 2019, Llinks Compliance Service Team once again joined force with Wolters Kluwer to have systematically updated "30 Questions", and have published the updated version titled "2019 The Blue Book of PRC Cybersecurity and Data Compliance" (Bilingual version) (hereinafter referred to as "Blue Book") both online and offline. "Blue Book" comprehensively updates the 2018 version of "30 Questions" in light of the critical changes in the regulations and practices, and deeply analyzes key points, hot topics and difficult issues in the field of cyber security and data protection compliance.
