On 15 October 2019, Llinks Partner Attorney David Wu was invited by the Hong Kong International Arbitration Center (hereinafter "HKIAC") to arbitrate on the moot court panel for the HKIAC International Chinese Competition-Shanghai Division semi-final.
Recent data presented by HKIAC has witnessed a rising number of disputes applying Chinese law meantime using Chinese as the arbitration language, and Chinese lawyers and arbitrators are increasingly participating in international dispute resolution. This competition, held right before the beginning of "Hong Kong Arbitration Week", aims to gradually expand the impact of international arbitration on Chinese arbitration practitioners, and finally lead a larger group of lawyers and arbitrators to join into international arbitration.
The competition perfectly presented the actual process of HKIAC arbitration, attracting more than 100,000 online viewers for the semi-final and effectively expanded the influence of the event. Llinks Partner Attorney Vincent Mu also remarkably contributed to the successful hosting of the competition.
