On 24 October 2019, Llinks Successfully Held a Seminar on "Data Compliance Issues in Research, Clinical Trials and Regulatory Approvals in the Medical Industry" with LCOUNCIL in Shanghai. Over 30 business representatives and in-house counsels from the medical industry attended this seminar.
David Pan and Xun Yang shared their views on personal information protection of subjects in clinical research and pharmacy, covering the following 4 subjects: intellectual property and administrative protection of clinical data, collection, use and export compliance as well as how the rights and obligations of each subject are distributed in clinical trials.
Xun Yang shared his opinions on the Drug medical device research & development and registration. He analyzed "Intellectual property protection systems for pharmaceuticals and medical devices, protection of data rights and interests in drug and medical device research and development period, protection of business secrets in drug and medical device research, regulation and sharing of intellectual property rights of genetic research." He then raised practical suggestions, based on his experience in intellectual property protection, information flow and supervision related to the approval of drug and medical devices.
David Pan shared professional opinions on the themes of "Protection of the personal information of the subjects in clinical and pharmaceutical research" and "The subjects of clinical trials: the distribution of rights and obligations of Sponsors, CROs and Medical Institutions". After a comprehensive introduction to the "data, related parties and data processes involved in clinical research", Mr. Pan analyzed the legal norms and compliance practices related to the laws and regulations protecting the subjects' privacy and shared practical points on the data compliance of participants in clinical trials.
Towards the end, David Pan and Xun Yang interacted with the participants in the form of a Q&A combined with discussions, and shared and discussed relevant content with the participants in a humorous and in-depth manner.
