On 6 June 2019, "Legal Issues of Intelligent Vehicle-Highway System (IVHS)" Seminar was held successfully by Tongji University ("Tongji") at Jiading campus. Mr. Bin Wu, Party Secretary of College of Transportation and Engineering at Tongji, Mr. Xinhua Li, Dean of China Transportation Institute at Tongji, Mr. Xiaojia Zou, Deputy Party Secretary of College of Transportation and Engineering at Tongji and Mr. Xiaochun Liu, Executive Director of Internet Legal Research Center at University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, attended the seminar. The seminar also attracted more than 60 college experts, government officials, company representatives and law firm partners from Tongji, The Ministry of Public Security, HS, NIO, DeepBlue Technology, Auto Navi, Baidu and other organizations. Llinks Partner Dr. David Pan was invited to attend the seminar and deliver a speech.
At the seminar, attendees discussed on the following topics: the security of operation and supervision of IVHS, legal liabilities of testing and operation of IVHS as well as data security and privacy protection. Attendees also shared the latest cases and results of the development of IVHS, discussed the present legal and policy challenges and explored the new thoughts and new paths to promote the development of IVHS. Dr. Pan gave a presentation related to the hot spot issues about personal information security and privacy and data protection under the IVHS scenario.
