On 24 May 2019, Sino-Germany Intelligent Manufacturing Cooperation Summit 2019 themed "Innovation-led Future of Intelligent Manufacturing" was held in Xiang Jiang New District, Hunan Province. More than 300 government officers, scholars and experts, and corporate representatives from China and Germany attended the meeting, including Mr. Jianwen Lu, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Department of Ministry of Industry and Information Technology; Mr. Marcus Hayes, Deputy Director of Industrial Policy Department of the German Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy; Mr. Jian Zhu, Deputy Secretary of Changsha Municipal CPC Committee; Mr. Tianyi Ma, Deputy Director and Party Member of Hunan Province Department of Industry and Information, Mr. Peng Wang, Vice President of CCID, as well as representatives from Huawei, China Telecom, BONC, Rootcloud, ZValley, BDI, Schaeffler, GCC, Accenture, Technische Universität Darmstadt, etc.
In the meeting, China and German guests discussed topics on high-quality development of the manufacturing industry, digital transformation, development trends of intelligent manufacturing, critical technology and practical results; shared the global new cases and achievements of Sino-Germany intelligent technology, and exchanged new thoughts on the approaches of facilitating intelligent manufacturing. Dr. David Pan, a partner at Llinks, was invited to attend the meeting, and exchanged with other attendees his insights on trending issues related to cyber security and privacy data protection in industries such as intelligent manufacturing, industrial Internet of Things, intelligent connected automobiles.
