Llinks Attorney Invited to 2018 China Sailing Awards Ceremony

Llinks partner David Wu was invited to the 2018 China Sailing Awards Ceremony series on 12 December 2018. Known as one of the most significant events of the Chinese sailing industry, this year's ceremony is expected to be a milestone of the new era of development.

The ceremony of this year arranged conferences for the Chinese Yachting Association, Executive Committee and National Convention, sporting events including the finals of Chinese Family Yachting and Chinese Yachting League, China Sailing Awards Ceremony & China Sailing Hall of Fame, World Sailing Symposium, and the opening ceremony of Haikou National Yachting Base. Around 800 attendants from World Sailing, Asian Sailing Federation, General Administration of Sport of China as well as other representatives abroad were present at the events.

The 2018 ceremony is a reflection of the latest development of Chinese Yachting Association. In the past year, the CYA established seven new special committees with reference to international practice. The committees held their first meeting on 13 December, and officially declared the beginning of ceremony. The CYA also held the third meeting of the executive committee, where the 2018 operational report and regulation amendments were reviewed and approved. Attorney Wu presented at both meetings as a member of the executive committee and chief of the legal committee, participated actively in the discussion for the committees' future development. Attorney Wu was also invited to witness the awarding of China Sailing Hall of Fame, the awards for best athletes, best domestic regatta and best team of sailing, etc., for the sake of fairness and authority of the awards.

This event is aimed to encourage the inheritance of the spirit of ancient exploration, and received strong support from various departments including the World Sailing, General Administration of Sport of China, Department of Culture Radio Television Publication and Sports of Hainan Province, Hainan Tourism and Cultural Investment Holding Co., Ltd. as well as Hainan Sailing Association.
