On 2 December 2018, Llinks Partner Mr. Wu Wei was invited to attend Shandong Law Society 2018 Sports Law Seminar. This year's seminar was hosted by Shandong Law Society Sports Law Research Institute, held by Law School of Shandong University, Weihai. The seminar was themed with "Legal Protection for the New Times Sports Industry", and invited several renowned scholars and professionals in the Chinese expertise of Sports law to discuss on the further development of the industry.
During the keynote speech, the professionals provided their opinions under the topic "Practice Legal Protection in the Sports Industry". Attorney Wu delivered his speech focusing on "Sponsorship, Investment and Financing". During the previous years the Chinese sports industry has gone through a progress from impulse buying to sensible dealing under the direction of the evolving supervision, which made it a significant task to follow the policies so as to protect the legal rights to the maximum extent. Attorney Wu started with the legal conflicts in the sponsorship for events and players, and provided effective measures for potential incidents. As for the area of investment and financing, Attorney Wu began with a brief on the heated domestic projects, and analyzed the policies and notes from both the prospective of project offerings and industry valuation. His lecture presented a new horizon of the industry trend which increasingly treasures cross-industry interconnection.
