On November 1 and 3, Sino-Swiss Forums themed with One Belt One Road & Offshore Arbitration - Opportunities & Challenges for Chinese Companies (the "Forums") were held respectively in Shenzhen and Hangzhou. Sponsored by Swiss Arbitration Association (ASA), Swiss Chambers' Arbitration Institution (SCAI) and Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration (SCIA), Hangzhou Arbitration Commission (HAC), the Forums attracted over 170 arbitrators, in-house counsels, lawyers and enterprise managers. David Wu from Llinks Law Offices was invited to the Forums as Speaker.
Following the Belt and Road Initiative, the Forums focus on discussion of disputes in OBOR projects, appropriate dispute resolution method in China and Switzerland as well as role of and opportunities for Chinese lawyers. David, appointed as Chinese Ambassador of ASA earlier this year, delivered a speech on international and domestic sports arbitration, introducing his experiences in Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS) seated in Lausanne, Switzerland and arbitration committees of Chinese Basketball Association and Chinese Football Association.
Alex McLin, Executive Director of ASA, Caroline MING, Executive Director of SCAI, LIU Xiaochun, President of SCIA, as well as TU Dongshan, Secretary of CPC Leadership Group, Director of Legal Affairs Office of Hangzhou Municipal Government & Standing Deputy Director of HAC, also joined the Forums.
