On October 24, 2018, the 2018 China Business Travel Forum (CBTF), co-organized by China International Travel Service (CITS) American Express Global Business Travel and Shanghai Municipal Tourism Administration (SMTA), was held at the Kerry Hotel in Pudong, Shanghai. Mr. David Pan, a partner of Llinks, was invited to participate and deliver a speech regarding how Chinese companies can comply with the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Mr. Pan explained the main terms and legislative reforms of GDPR, analyzed the similarities and differences between GDPR and China's Cybersecurity Law, and the impact of GDPR on the overseas business of Chinese companies. On that basis, he proposed a compliance program for Chinese companies. Mr. Pan's speech was detailed, analytical and pragmatic, and was widely recognized by the guests.
This CBTF attracted more than 1,000 domestic and international influential professionals in the business travel industry. In addition to the topic of GDPR compliance, the forum organizers also arranged lectures and organized in-depth discussions on the 40-year reform and opening up, and future economic trends, artificial intelligence, user experience, travel policies and fee control management.
