On October 31, 2018, at the invitation of Shanghai Corporate Counsel Association (SCCA), Llinks partner Dr. David Pan delivered a lecture on E-commerce Law to SCCA members. Centering on the key issues in the E-commerce industry, Dr. Pan interpreted the E-commerce Law from the definition of E-commerce and E-commerce business operators, the nature of E-commerce platforms, consumer rights protection, intellectual rights protection, cybersecurity and personal data protection and antitrust and anti-unfair competition under the E-commerce Law. Among these topics, Dr. Pan articulated on the establishment of electronic contracts, regulation on standardized contracts in E-commerce, and the "safe harbor" rule and "red flag" rule in intellectual rights protection in E-commerce.
More than 60 SCCA members attended the lecture, among whom most are legal counsels of large e-commerce platforms. At the end of the session, Dr. Pan had an in-depth discussion with the SCCA members regarding difficult legal issues in E-commerce, and the SCCA members proactively participated.
