On 20 September 2018, Llinks and Wolters Kluwer successfully jointly held the first anniversary of the implementation of the China's Cybersecurity Law" Seminar, also called the "30 Questions about the CSL" Bilingual Guide Launch, at Courtyard hotel, Shanghai.
During the meeting, Llinks Cybersecurity and Data Law Service Team made keynote presentations. With the subject of "Compliance Practices of Personal Information in Full Cycle Commercial Use", Llinks partner, David Pan, interpreted the definition of personal information under the Chinese law. On this basis, he analyzed the compliance tips during the stages of data collection, use, storage and transmission of personal information. Through the combination of theory and practice, Mr. Pan provided some typical case studies with comparing and contrasting relative regulations between Chinese and foreign countries to the participants. The topic of Tianhang Li's speech was "Graded Network Security Protection System Impact on Enterprises and Responses". The speech made an in-depth explanations on issues such as enterprises' responsibilities and obligations, classified networks, commercial passwords, and other special fields on compliance in the way of case analysis and discussion, combined with actual work experience. Mr. Li also offered proper responses to above issues to the on-site participants with the latest law enforcement trends.
More than 80 representatives and professionals from the financial, automotive, information technology, manufacturing, medical, insurance, energy and other industries attended the conference. All of the participants were given a bilingual guide called, 30 Questions About the CSL, which was written by Llinks Cybersecurity and Data Law Service Team and published by Wolters Kluwer. The atmosphere of the entire conference was lively and positive.
