On 22 August, 2018, the China Security Law Risks and Compliance Conference, hosted by the All-China Lawyers Association Information Network and High-Tech Law Committee and the Shanghai Bar Association Internet Business Research Committee, was held at Hotel Equatorial Shanghai. There are more than 120 experts from the Internet industry and the legal scholars attending the conference. David Pan, partner of Llinks, was invited to attend the conference and delivered a keynote speech.
In a speech entitled "Cyber Security Compliance Issues in the Internet of Things Applications (IoT)", David first introduced the concept of Internet of Things and its applications and functions in major scenarios. Focusing on cyber and data security in the field of Internet of Things, David combined with case studies to explain the application of Network Graded Protection Regulation, the identification of key information infrastructure operators and their obligations in the IoT application scenarios, and analyze the personal information and important data under the IoT application. On the basis of the above analysis, David made risk warnings on the division of responsibilities between the systems, platforms and participants involved in the IoT, and recommendations for the IoT network operators' data cycle implement system. David's speech was widely recognized by the guests, and the response was enthusiastic.
