On 20 July 2018, the China Network and Information Security Conference, the Network Security Legal Risk and Compliance Summit Forum (hereinafter referred to as the "Forum"), was held in Chengdu. This Forum was co-sponsored by the Chinese Institute of Electronics Academic Exchange Center, the Information Network and High-Tech Law Committee of the China Bar Association, and the Network Space Law Committee of the China Society of Science and Technology, and co-organized by the Intellectual Property Rights (Information Network and High Technology) Professional Committee. Experienced lawyers from renowned law firms across the nation explored the prospect of complying with cybersecurity requirements whilst developing the digital businesses.
Yang Xun from Llinks, was invited to attend and delivered a keynote speech on "Closely Embracing the New Era Featured with Information Networks", which attracted wide attention from the participants. With the promulgation of the "China's Cybersecurity Law (CSL)" and its supporting regulations as well as the practical implementation of the laws and regulations on cybersecurity that have been issued earlier, the government has been paying increasingly greater attentions on cyber securities and enforcing cyber security laws increasingly strict. For businesses, the cybersecurity compliance becomes one of the top tasks. Lawyers are facing the tasks of helping companies to meet the compliance requirements with minimum costs whilst receiving maximum benefits from compliance.
