Llinks Law Offices is pleased to announce that renowned disputes lawyer, the managing partner of Clyde & Co Beijing office Patrick Zheng joined Llinks as the Head of Dispute Resolution.
Patrick Zheng has more than 20 year experience in cross-border dispute resolution, including international arbitration and litigation. Before joining Llinks Law Offices, he has worked in a couple of leading international law firms in the United States and China. His previous career includes Senior Consultant of Herbert Smith LLP, Partner of Clifford Chance, and the Managing Partner of Clyde & Co LLP's Beijing office. Prior to turning to private practice, he had worked at CIETAC for 8 years.
As counsel, Patrick Zheng has handled hundreds of cases in international arbitration and disputes including almost 100 cases before foreign venues. He has represented clients before venues such as CIETAC, HKIAC, ICC, LCIA, SIAC, SCC and courts of Hong Kong, London and the United States. Examples of his experience include the high profile case of China Shanshui Cement Group Limited Hong Kong litigation, the US investigation on alleged violation of sanctions against ZTE Corporation, PetroChina's arbitration case before SIAC, the investment arbitration between Beijing Urban Construction Group Co. Ltd. and the Republic of Yemen (ICSID), etc. He is a highly regarded in international litigation and arbitration community in China.
Patrick Zheng is a panel arbitrator of various arbitration institutions such as CIETAC, HKIAC, KCAB, KLRCA, SIAC, etc.
His arrival will significantly strengthen Llinks' capabilities in domestic arbitration and litigation practices. In addition Patrick Zheng will help the firm develop Chinese clients' outbound dispute practice, including international commercial arbitration and litigation. He will also help the firm develop investment arbitration practice, both ICSID and UNCITRAL.
Patrick Zheng obtained his LL.B. degree at Fudan University, School of Law and LL.M. degrees at the University of International Business and Economics, School of Law and UC Berkeley Law School. He is qualified to practice law in China and New York.
