On 11 January 2018, the Chinese Football Association ("CFA") held a seminar in Beijing on the improvement of the regulatory system related to the transfer of minors, training compensation, as well as the intermediary regulations in the domestic football system. Llinks partner, David WU, was invited to attend the seminar.The attendees include Qi Jun, Director of the CFA Competition Division, along with various officials of the CFA, members of local football associations and leaders of professional clubs.
Base on the vast experience in providing legal advice in the reform of the football system for different clients of the industry, Mr. WU shared with the attendees his views from both the legal and practical perspectives on different matters, such as the restrictions on the transfers of minors, amendments concerning training compensation, training agreements, first signing of professional contracts, legal advice on management of international transfers and agent's rule-breaking behaviors. In addition, he provided suggestions with regard to the potential amendment of the relevant provisions of the CFA regulations.
