From 29 November to 1 December 2017, Llinks Lawyer participated in the International Forum on Sports Law held in Cambridge – United Kingdom, an exclusive forum for the most prestigious sports lawyers and experts at a worldwide level. During this forum, the participants discussed on topics of actual interest in this area, such as sports gambling, E-sports, doping, European sports model, the role of agents and investments.
Among the participants of this event shall be mentioned: Mr. Martens, the founder of the Basketball Arbitration Tribunal (BAT); Mr. Motta, the lawyer of the Brazilian football superstar Neymar; Mr. McLaren, the author of the so called "McLaren Report" on the recent anti-doping case involving Russia; Mr. Bernasconi, one of the most prestigious Arbitrator at Court of Arbitration for Sports (CAS).
In the Forum, Llinks Lawyer was the Discussion Leader of the round table on "Investing in Sports". In light of his long-standing experience in this area, Llinks Lawyer introduced the current situation of Chinese investments in European football clubs and explained the reasons and the relevant models adopted for such investment, as well as the peculiarities of sports investment in China. In the meantime, Llinks Lawyer also engaged in a debate on E-sports, sharing his views on both the current and future market of E-sports in China.
