From May 22 to 23, 2026, guided by the Data Law Research Center of East China University of Political Science and Law and co-hosted by FAHFA and iCourt, the 3rd Annual Global Data Compliance Forum was successfully held in Shanghai. With the theme of "Taking Data Compliance as the Hub to Connect Compliance Practices under Multiple Rules," the forum brought together elites from key industries such as TMT, smart vehicles, healthcare, finance, and consumer goods to conduct in-depth discussions on cutting-edge hot topics including cross-border data transmission, all-scenario AI compliance, and personal information protection auditing.
As a core segment of this year's forum, on the afternoon of May 22, Llinks and FAHFA co-hosted the Closed-door Seminar of the 3rd Annual Global Data Compliance Forum. This closed-door meeting focused on the frontier pain points of data compliance and AI governance, inviting senior experts from academia, enterprises, and law firms to engage in practical exchanges.
The seminar was moderated by Llinks contractual partner Ms. Susan Deng. Ms. Deng extended a warm welcome to all the guests and guided the participating experts through wonderful keynote presentations and interactive discussions on various core topics.
During the seminar session, Llinks partner Mr. Nigel Zhu focused on personal information protection compliance auditing, providing a deep analysis of the regulatory dynamics, audit essentials, and response schemes following the implementation of the Administrative Measures for Compliance Auditing of Personal Information Protection.
On May 23, 17 high-profile guests delivered a rich, practice-oriented feast of data compliance knowledge for the audience through 11 keynote speeches and 2 roundtable discussions.
During the keynote speech session, Llinks partner Mr. Xun Yang deeply analyzed the correlations and differences between the two major legal systems of data security and intellectual property under the digital economy, clarifying their respective two-dimensional legislative foundations and value orientations guided by innovation incentives and the protection of human dignity. Mr. Yang pointed out the dual compliance red lines in scenarios such as AI products, short videos, and connected vehicles, and analyzed in depth the pain points of cross-conflicts between patents and data compliance, copyright and personal portrait rights, as well as trade secrets and data classification. Combining typical cases such as short video intrusions, employee work photos, and HCP medical record sharing, he sorted out the balancing principles between intellectual property rights and personal information interests. He introduced compliance solutions from a technological level, such as anonymization and federated learning, and clarified implementation measures from a management dimension, including data categorization and classification, authority control, log retention, and supplier due diligence, providing practical ideas for enterprises to handle the intersecting legal issues of intangible asset protection and data compliance.
