On January 5, 2025, the Inauguration Ceremony of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association for Legal and Business Services, which is the Annual Alumni Gathering of the KOGUAN School of Law were grandly held at the Xuhui Campus. The event was attended by Mr. Zhang Ansheng, the deputy director of the University Affairs Committee of Shanghai Jiao Tong University; Mr. Zheng Chengliang, the senior humanities professor and former vice president; Mr. Peng Chengxin, the dean and deputy party secretary of KOGUAN School of Law; Mr. Xie Zhitao, the party secretary of KOGUAN School of Law; leaders from relevant departments and faculties; representatives from other alumni associations; members of the first board of directors of the Alumni Association for Legal and Business Services; and over 260 alumni representatives from home and abroad.
The convening of this conference marks the further expansion of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University Alumni Association into the field of legal and business services. By establishing industry-specific alumni organizations, the goal is to enhance communication and cooperation among alumni and to promote the integrated development of the legal and business services industry. For this purpose, the conference specifically established the Overseas Business Service Expert Committee of the Alumni Association for Legal and Business Services. This committee brings together industry elites and experts from among the alumni and aims to provide comprehensive services such as overseas consulting, legal support, and market research for alumni enterprises.
Llinks partner Dr. David Pan, was appointed as a director of the Alumni Association for Legal and Business Services and as an expert on the Overseas Business Service Expert Committee.
At the subsequent roundtable forum on "How to Resolve Intellectual Property and International Legal Disputes for Overseas-Expanding Enterprises". Dr. Pan shared his rich professional knowledge and practical experience regarding common legal challenges for overseas-expanding enterprises, such as data asset entitlement. He provided practical suggestions and strategies for effectively protecting data assets during the overseas expansion process.
