On 16 October 2024, the seminar titled 'Hot Legal Issues in Private Equity Fund Exits Under the New Company Law', guided by the Financial Law Research Association of Shanghai Law Society and the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center), and hosted by the Fund Professional Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association, was successfully held. The event attracted around 60 experts from the legal, academic, and practical fields. Llinks partner Ms. Elva Yu was invited to participate in the seminar.
The seminar was chaired by Huijun Li, Secretary-General of the Financial Law Research Association of Shanghai Law Society and Party Secretary and President of the Yangpu Branch of Agricultural Bank of China. Yi Ma, Vice President of the Shanghai International Trade Promotion Council and Deputy Director of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, delivered the opening remarks.
In the first half of the meeting, keynote speeches were given by Chengguang Ma, Director of the Fund Professional Committee of the Shanghai Bar Association; Hongmin Yao, Deputy Secretary-General of the Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission; and Professor Shoubin Ni, Director of the Green Technology Bank Research Institute, Professor at Tongji University, and Vice President of the Financial Law Research Association of Shanghai Law Society.
In the second half, two roundtable discussions took place, focusing on 'Key Paths and Challenges for Private Equity Fund Exits Under the New Company Law' and 'Management and Mandatory Liquidation of State-Owned Private Equity Fund Exits'. To wrap up the seminar, Professor Hong Wu, President of the Financial Law Research Association of Shanghai Law Society and a professor at East China University of Political Science and Law, provided a summary of the key takeaways.
