A seminar on 'Rule of Law Guarantees for High-Quality Development of China's Leisure Sports in the Context of Comprehensive Consumption Promotion' was held in Changzhou from July 19 to 21, 2024. Organized by the Sports Law Research Society of China Law Society and hosted by Changzhou University and Changzhou Municipal Sports Bureau, the event brought together over sixty experts and scholars from across China's academic, legal, and sports sectors.
Key attendees included Jiang Li, Executive Director of the Sports Law Research Society of China Law Society; Lin Yang, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Changzhou University; Jie Chen, Deputy Director of Changzhou Municipal Sports Bureau; Xinjun Fang, Vice President of Jiangsu Law Society; and Jiahong Wang, Vice President of the Sports Law Research Society of China Law Society. These leaders delivered opening addresses.
Llinks partner and vice president of the Sports Law Society of China Law Society Mr. David Wu and Llinks senior associate Mr. Roy Chu, were invited to participate in the seminar. At the seminar, Mr. Wu hosted the main report session, in which Prof. Hongjun Ma, Vice Chairman of Sports Law Research Society of China Law Society and Professor of China University of Political Science and Law, made a report on 'Rule of Law Protection for Leisure Sports'. As well as, Prof. Jiahong Wang, Vice President of Sports Law Research Society of China Law Society and Honorary President of Sports Law Research Society of Jiangsu Law Society, made a report on 'Research on the Rule of Law Guarantee for Sports Consumption under the Guidance of New Quality Productivity Theory'. Afterwards, the experts also made keynote speeches and had a lively discussion on the legal governance of leisure sports and the rule of law protection of sports events and industries.
