Postscript
Everything can be digitalized in the digital age, and the importance of compliance in cybersecurity and data protection is evident.
I have led my team to deep dive into the field of cybersecurity and data protection, providing clients from various industries with legal services including cybersecurity and data general check-ups, cybersecurity and data "specialized examination" of IPO and financing scenarios, digital marketing, digital transformation, data classification and grading, cyber security review, Personal Information Impact Assessment (PIA), cross-border data transmission security assessment, AIGC application, etc. During the practice, I was deeply aware that the work on cybersecurity and data compliance in enterprises is very complicated. It requires effective communication and cooperation of different functional departments including legal and compliance, IT and information security, internal audit, business, human resources, etc. Meanwhile, DPOs can play the key role of coordination and guidance in this course.
As a brand-new position, it's hard for DPOs to gain the experience of predecessors and fully understand the compliance requirements under cybersecurity and data law. Therefore, I came up with the idea of writing practical guidance on compliance issues for DPOs, and this book was formed after one year. This book discusses the DPO's qualifications, main duties, risks and responsibilities from the perspective of their performance of duties through relevant practice cases. It analyzes compliance points in different scenarios including data processing inside the enterprise and cross-border processing, internal data processing such as business data processing and human resources management, traditional digital marketing, AIGC applications, etc. This book also explains the important contents of administrative regulation procedures and law enforcement under cybersecurity and data law.
