From June 5 to 9, 2023, the 2023 International Sports Organization Posting and Reserve Training Course Activities was held in Beijing. Zhou Jinqiang, Vice Director General of the General Administration of Sport of China and member of the Party Group, attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech, while Li Jing, Director General of the Personnel Department of the General Administration of Sport of China, presided over the opening ceremony.
The training course was organized by the Personnel Department of the General Administration of Sport of China and hosted by the Foreign Sports Exchange Center. The training lasted for 5 days, with more than 50 participants from more than 40 organizations, including the International Olympic Committee, the Olympic Council of Asia, the World Anti-Doping Agency, the Federation Internationale de Football Association, the International Basketball Federation, the International Gymnastics Federation, the International Table Tennis Federation, the World Aquatics, the World Athletics, the International Ski Federation, the World Sailing, the United World Wrestling and the World Baseball Softball Confederation and other international sports organizations.
Mr. David Wu, a partner of Llinks law offices, was invited to give a lecture on "The Role of Sports Arbitration in Sports Organizations and Sports Governance" to the participants. experts and scholars who have long been active in foreign relations and international organizations were invited to give lectures on topics such as Chinese diplomacy, international communication and international negotiation, cross-cultural communication and foreign affairs etiquette, Olympic sports and foreign affairs policy, etc. During the training, there were also sessions of performance sharing and group discussions.
During the course, David Wu introduced the origins of sports law and the development of sports arbitration in China and abroad, and explained in detail the role of sports arbitration in sports governance and the dispute resolution system of sports organizations with case studies. During the several hours of the course, the participants responded enthusiastically and discussed actively.
