On April 23, 2023, a lecture on "Application of International and Domestic Anti-Doping Laws and Regulations" was successfully organized by the Sports Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association and hosted by Llinks. Professor Ma Hongjun from China University of Political Science and Law was invited to give the lecture. Llinks partner David Wu, is also the director of the Sports Research Committee of Shanghai Bar Association, presided over the lecture. This activity received positive response from the majority of lawyers, and attracted nearly 40 lawyers from many law firms to participate in the event.
During the lecture, Prof. Ma introduced the application of domestic and international anti-doping laws and regulations, including the legal framework of the World Anti-Doping Agency and China's anti-doping legal system. He explained in detail the composition, scope of application and practical operation of the rules within the system, and reflections on the improvement of anti-doping related rules are presented with actual cases. During the Q&A session, Prof. Ma interacted with the lawyers and answered questions on the scope of sports arbitration in China, the right of hearing of the parties, and whether AI is a challenge or an opportunity for sports lawyers.
The lecture aimed to respond to the national anti-doping policy, promote the popularization of domestic and international anti-doping laws and regulations, and provide a platform for lawyers to learn and communicate.
