Llinks Partner Attended the Unveiling Ceremony of the Sports Arbitration and Mediation Committee of China Academy of Arbitration Law and the Symposium on Sports Arbitration Under the Sports Law

On November 11, 2022, the unveiling ceremony of the Sports Arbitration and Mediation Committee of China Academy of Arbitration Law and the Symposium on Sports Arbitration under the Sports Law, which was organized by Sports Arbitration and Mediation Committee of China Academy of Arbitration Law (hereinafter referred to as the "Committee"), and organized by Shanghai University of Political Science and Law and Shanghai Arbitration Commission was successfully held in Shanghai.

Llinks partner Mr. David Wu, as the director of the Committee, jointly unveiled the Committee with Mr. Xu Qi, deputy director of Shanghai Administration of Sports, Mr.Tan Jian, head of the Secretariat of China Academy of Arbitration Law, Mr. Fan Mingchao, executive deputy director of Shanghai Arbitration Commission and honorary chairman of the Committee, and Ms. Hu Jiling, vice president of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law

After the opening speech presided over by Ms. Chen Na, co-secretary-general of the Committee, David Wu welcomed and thanked the guests on behalf of the Committee, and briefly introduced the background of the establishment of the Committee, and then the leaders extended congratulations one after another. After the unveiling ceremony, David Wu gave a keynote speech on the future development and possibility of sports arbitration around the newly revised Sports Law.

The second half of the meeting was presided over by Ms. Xiang Huiying, co-secretary-general of the Committee. Mr. Tan Xiaoyong, professor of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Mr. Wang Xiaowei, head of the Rule-making Working Group of the Dispute Settlement Committee of the Chinese Football Association, and Mr. Zhang Zheng, deputy director of Shanghai Jing'an Notary Public Office, held a heated discussion on the system and practice of arbitration in China. In the end, David Wu made a concluding speech.

The Sports Arbitration and Mediation Committee of China Academy of Arbitration Law was approved to be established at the end of 2020. The Committee aims to carry out relevant theoretical research by focusing on the settlement of sports disputes in judicial practice and to promote the construction of sports rule of law.
