On August 25, 2022, the Ice and Snow Sports Legal Issues Research (Zhangjiakou) Base, jointly founded by the State Sports General Administration and the Higher People's Court of Hebei Province, was officially established in Chongli District, Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province.
Qiang Zhou (Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and President of the Supreme People's Court), Yuefeng Ni (Secretary of the Hebei Provincial Party Committee), and Zhidan Gao (Director of the State Sports General Administration and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group) jointly unveiled the base.
Relevant executives from the Supreme People's Court, the State Sports General Administration, Hebei Province, representatives of experts and scholars, and representatives of Hebei court police officers participated in the unveiling event.
Focusing on the resolution of sports disputes in judicial practice, the base focuses on the legal issues of ice and snow sports, and explores judicial rules and remedies for disputes over ice and snow sports. It will regularly carry out research on legal issues and academic exchange activities. There are nearly 40 member units of the sports and scientific research system. Llinks partner Mr. David Wu was invited to participate in the event as the vice president of China Law Society Institute of Sports Law.
After the unveiling ceremony, an academic exchange meeting on legal guarantee of for winter sports was held in the base. Mr. David Wu presided over the second unit of the exchange meeting on 'Research Pathways on Intellectual Property Issues', and had discussions with experts and scholars from well-known law schools and sports schools, Hebei Provincial People's Courts, Hebei Provincial Sports Bureau and other institutions.
