On June 30, 2022, Llinks partner and vice president of Sports Law Research Association of China Law Society Mr. David Wu was invited to the "SHIAC E-Sports Industry Observation Forum", which was co-sponsored by Shanghai E-Sports Association and Shanghai International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (Shanghai International Arbitration Center). With the theme of "Rule of Law Escorts Shanghai to Build a Global Capital of Electronic Competition", the forum gathered important guests such as well-known practitioners, experts and senior lawyers in the e-sports industry, and attracted more than 3000 people to watch online.
Mr. Wu, as a guest speaker, introduced the e-sports industry in detail based on his rich practice experience. Firstly, he talked about the general situation of the e-sports industry and illustrated the scale of the e-sports market with data. Secondly, he summarized the system and regulatory policies of e-sports and discussed ways of dispute resolution in the e-sports industry with case studies. Finally, he analyzed the commercialization of e-sports by drawing lessons from the traditional sports model. Through the sharing of Mr. Wu, all participants established a clearer understanding of the development and regulatory system of the e-sports industry.
Mr. Wu was invited to participate in the compilation of the e-sports project management system of the Sports Information Center of the State General Administration of Sports. He was named one of the 'Top 10 Recommended Chinese Lawyers in E-sports' by LEGALBAND in 2019.
