Mr. Bill Zhou obtained his LL.M. degree from East China University of Political Science and Law and later his MBA and EMBA degrees respectively from Fudan University and China Europe International Business School. He also went to American University Washington College of Law for further study as a visiting scholar. Throughout his 19-year career in law, Mr. Zhou has accumulated profound practice experience and earned an outstanding market reputation in the areas of criminal defense, criminal compliance, criminal prosecution, business arbitration, business litigation, company establishment, investment and financing, bankruptcy, restructuring, liquidation, commercial arbitration, and commercial litigation.
Prior to joining Llinks, Mr. Zhou worked in a well-known PRC law firm as a partner. He is currently the director of the Bankruptcy and Criminal Business Research Committee of the Shanghai Association of Bankruptcy Administrators, a member of the Lawyer Practice Assessment Committee of Shanghai Bar Association, a member of the Internship Management Assessment Committee for Lawyer Practitioners, and a member of the Criminal Law and Criminal Defense Business Research Committee.
Mr. Zhou has provided criminal defense services for many enterprises, entrepreneurs, executives, and white-collar workers in crimes viz. commercial bribery, duty crimes, securities-related crimes, financial crimes, tax-related crimes, intellectual property crimes, illegal operations, contract fraud, etc., and has acted as a defender in several well-known cases. He often provides compliance advice to various enterprises on employee fraud and commercial bribery and has profound experience in administrative complaints and reports, as well as criminal prosecution. Apart from criminal and compliance fields, Mr. Zhou integrates law and business and provides company establishment, investment and financing, bankruptcy reorganization, bankruptcy liquidation, commercial arbitration, commercial litigation, and other professional legal services.
Mr. Zhou boasts a wide client range covering state-owned, private-owned, and foreign-funded enterprises in the start-up, growth, and mature stages, including many large-scale state-owned enterprises based in Shanghai and other provinces, Fortune 500 companies, listed companies, etc. in industrial, processing, service, and financial industry, with specific sub-sectors including chemical, manufacturing, automobile, energy, food, health products, medicine, medical equipment, luxury, cosmetics, consumer goods, education, tourism, real estate, banking, insurance, Fin-tech, etc.
