On January 20, 2022, Llinks Law Offices successfully held the webinar on "Major Legal Issues in International Sports". The webinar is organized by Shanghai Law Society Sports Law Committee, in collaboration with Llinks Law Offices, Peter Koh Chambers (Vancouver), and Shanghai University of Political Science and Law.
Dr. Hu Jiling, Chairman of Shanghai Law Society Sports Law Committee and Deputy Principal of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, delivered the opening speech. David Wu, Partner of Llinks Law Offices, and Peter S K Koh, Arbitrator of CAS and Member of the Disciplinary Tribunal of World Athletics, as well as Xiang Huiying, Secretary General of Shanghai Law Society Sports Law Committee and Associate Professor of Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, made their respective speech on sponsorship of sports events in China, ethical issues in international sports and CAS ad hoc Division at Asian Games.
David Wu first introduced the sponsorship scheme in the Olympic Games and other large-scale sports events. Combined with his experience in providing legal services to China major sports associations and leagues, David Wu shared with the audience several influencing cases related with sponsorship disputes in China.
The webinar attracted over 90 legal professionals, scholars and law school students.
